Couch Shogun publishes under a handful of pen names, each with its own defined aesthetic — across fiction, nonfiction, and everything in between. We care about atmosphere, pacing, and the kind of book you finish in an evening because getting up was never the plan.
Couch Shogun is an experiment: how far can one person's imagination reach when AI helps carry it? A story shouldn't have to stay inside the language or the skill set its author happened to be born into. We set the plot, the rules of each world, and the direction — and use generative AI to help bring it across into finished English prose.
The question we're chasing is simple: how close can a story made this way come to one written entirely by hand? The structure, the choices, and the final edits stay human; the AI is the tool that gets us there. The pen names are creative imprints for different genres, not separate people.
